There is an old proverb: If there was one loaf of bread left in the entire world, the Franciscans would have half of it. Why? Because the Friars would share this Bread with Everyone. Every Day. The Franciscans share this bread with over 2 million people a year – children, women and men who come to our doors for our help. 
 
The Franciscans share the “bread” with dignity, love and compassion. It comes in many forms: nourishing food, stable housing, warm clothes, vital medical assistance, and other basic necessities for our struggling sisters and brothers in need. It takes resources to share this Bread with Everyone. Every Day! Which is why we are asking you, please, take The Franciscan Challenge! This is the Fundraising Campaign of the Franciscan Friars. It is the major source of funding for our ministry to the poor. Without your Franciscan Heart and generous donations and support, the work of the Friars would end.
