The Friars ask you on this Giving Tuesday to please take the Franciscan Christmas Challenge to help us care for these poor and desperate families and children, most who flee their countries of origin to escape abuse and violence. Your generosity to the Franciscan Christmas Challenge helps provide more than a new toothbrush and winter coat. You provide welcome, dignity and, most of all, compassion and hope to families and children who have no one or nothing – like Cleyber, who you’ll meet in the video above. He and his pregnant wife journeyed 40 days from Venezuela, through terrain rife with danger, capped by a 2-day bus ride from El Paso, Texas, to New York City, where he met the Friars and found The Migrant Center.
